Educational Opportunities for Healthcare Professionals

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
This course is based on published American Heart Association guidelines. The core course objective is to manage the first 10 minutes of a sudden, witnessed VF/pulseless VT arrest in an adult. Participants must be proficient in performing BLS skills and identifying EKG rhythms. For more information and registration, please contact EMS Education at (765) 423-6645.

Healthcare Provider CPR
The Kathryn Weil Center for Education offers both Basic and Renewal Healthcare Provider CPR through the American Heart Association. A variety of class times are available each month. Registration is required.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program
This course has limited registration. Classes will be held at the Kathryn Weil Center.

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
A two-day course designed to provide the emergency nurse with core-level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of nursing care to the trauma patient.

Tuberculosis Course
This course identifies populations to be tested and how to administer, read and record the Mantoux Skin Test. This program is co-sponsored by the Kathryn Weil Center for Education and the American Lung Association.

Tuberculosis Instructor Course
The course objective is to provide the principles of various teaching methods and the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to teach a topic from the Basic Tuberculosis Course.
