ACLS / PALS Instructor

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) gives healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children. The course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of pediatric patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is a nationally recognized training and certification program developed under the auspices of the American Heart Association.
This course will prepare candidates for teaching ACLS and/or PALS
Individuals registering for ACLS and/or PALS must be proficient in performing Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR skills. Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive a card verifying completion through the American Heart Association. The card is good for two years.

The agenda will consist of completing the Core CD. This can either be done on 3 Main at Home Hospital from 9am-5pm OR participants may complete this Core CD at home.
- September 16, 2010
Participants will meet at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing fourth floor from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The agenda will include distribution of materials, instructions on use of materials and instructor monitoring.
