Occupational Therapy

Outpatient and Inpatient Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational therapy (OT) can help people who are disabled or have experienced an injury or illness that keeps them from participating in their daily work, fun or self-care (bathing, cooking, dressing, housework, etc.).  Occupational therapists are skilled at a wide range of creative treatment choices to help people reach the greatest level of independence possible.  Overall, OT assists with skills for the job of living.

In addition to therapy services provided at 1260 N. 17th street, programs are available to all inpatients at Home Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  Specialized inpatient services are offered on the Rehab Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Psychiatric Unit at Home Hospital, as well as the Skilled Nursing Unit at St. Elizabeth.  Therapy services are also provided through our Home Health services.

Regular continuing education allows our staff to remain on the cutting edge of technology and technique.  All therapists are licensed or certified by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
